The Filipino Internet is for porn

PinoyChan, cesspool of the Filipino Internet and purveyor of fine memes, is now down.

According to one PinoyChan moderator, Adobo, they were shut down over complaints that anonymous users put up child pornography on the site.

“It seems to be the work of individuals based abroad. They posted child pornography at times when moderators aren’t monitoring the site,” he said.

According to PinoyChan moderators, the website got around 10,000 hits a day.

Elsewhere in the Filipinization of online porn, police raided an Internet cafe in Bataan suspected of being a cybersex den.

“The establishment disguised [itself] as call center but the truth is [it is] actually engaged in the business of selling pornographic sites through online chatting,” said Central Luzon police director Chief Supt. Alan Purisima.

Which is actually not a very clever disguise. Given how horny call center agents reportedly are, people were bound to think there was a lot of sex going on in there. On the other hand, the best place to hide anything is right under their nose. Like that dude in “The Usual Suspects.” David Gamerman.
