Noy: The Movie

Yes, we can!

So, as you’ve probably heard by now, there’s a Noy: The Movie in the works.

Starring Coco Martin as (presumably) President Benigno Aquino III, and character actor Baron Geisler in some role as a drunkard or something, the movie begins ten days after the 2010 elections.

Aquino faces serious challenges: a bankrupt government, corruption on all levels, etcetera.

To make things worse, the cabal that may have killed his father is back together. Senators Juan Ponce Enrile, Ferdinand Marcos Jr, Edgardo Angara, Gregorio Honasan II, the until-then-missing Panfilo Lacson, and Manuel Lapid (he’s a joiner) form the Senatorial Six and vow to crush Aquino.

Meanwhile, the Brotherhood of Evil Mutants is also hatching a plot at theĀ  House of RepresentativesĀ  for Aquino’s downfall.

With both his superhero parents out of the picture and his sister to be banished to Paradise Island, how will Aquino run the country, defeat his enemies and keep his identity secret? Also, at what point will Baron Geisler revert to his typical drunkenness?

Well, no. That’s not really what the movie is about. But that would probably have been cool to see.

  1. At first, I was like, “Hell, no.” While reading the supposed plot, it changed to “Hell, yes. That would be interesting… except for the part where he and his pals are ‘good guys'”

Your last sentence was the second biggest disappointment I’ve encountered for this month.

P.S. I hate the flash site (it takes a while to load and the sound effects make me want to bash the computer speakers)
