@Jun: It’s true. Congress gets the best benefits. I heard their employees got P50k last Christmas as a shopping allowance.

Congresswoman Magsaysay is totally right about not getting enough Congressmen on the plenary hall since most of the Congressmen cannot balance their way of traversing from their district to the plenary (especially the ones from very far out districts) without spending a lot for:
1) Fuel with non-stop rising fuel prices secondary to their inadequacy to deal with the problem.
2) They don’t care much about attending the plenary meetings because they don’t give a damn.
They only care about one thing, and that is how they would be able to get back what they have spent from their polls. Quoting Sen. Lacson about what the “Son” said something like “Humingi ng project kay sec kasi malaki ang nagastos nung kampanya kasi natalo”.

There is one way of getting Reps to attend the plenary, and that is to give them bribes just to make them perform what they are obligated to perform.
