Maybe it serves them right na ang nakikinabang ay ang dogtag pirates instead of Smart’s annointed, whoever this politician is. I doubt these sellers are connected with AkoMismo.org because it would undermine further online recruitment.

On the other hand, guise, is there value in giving even token effort towards nation-building? I mean, surely, the alternative, which would be complete apathy, would be worse?

Even assuming that there’s no political wizard behind the curtain, this “Ako Mismo” campaign looks like all fluff and no substance to me. The kids who signed up and posted vague patriotic platitudes can now smugly think that they’re “doing their part” without having to give actual time and money. Good for them.

Sigh. This joke of a campaign won’t seriously spark anything. It could be some sort of propaganda for some politician… Maybe a friend of DDB’s (the ad agency behind that shit)?

Besides, this kind of pseudo-nationalistic and imaginary catalyst “dicksucking” for broadband users will do nothing to rid the problems of this country. At least in a way I am assuming that in essence, that is what they are trying to achieve.

Now if we want to really turn this whole mess of a nation around, blood really has to spill (easier said than done, I know). But when you think of it, unless that happens, everything else is futile.
